Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Pasteurizer Operator to ensure product safety and pasteurization in a fast-paced production environment. You will operate the pasteurizer, take samples for lab testing, and maintain sanitation across silos and tanks.

The role requires following recipes and guidelines, collaborating with a team, and documenting records in English. Candidates should be prepared to work onsite in a production facility and comply with all safety and quality standards.

GENERAL PURPOSE

Operate pasteurizer to ensure product is pasteurized and safe at or above production and quality standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate pasteurizer in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Obtain milk and cream samples for testing by lab to include raw and processed product
• Wash and sanitize milk silos, cream tanks, and any other equipment as needed
• Produce product according to guidelines and separate into correct batches
• Follow recipe guidelines for all products produced.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Production or general work experienced preferred
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
