Job summary

Cadmus Group seeks an experienced Water Specialist to provide part-time technical assistance to drinking water and wastewater utilities, helping agencies meet SDWA and CWA requirements. Field and remote support, travel to rural communities, and collaboration with regulators and operators are expected.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, project management, and professional client interactions, with a salary in the $75–$95 hourly range and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with coursework in engineering, public health, environmental science and policy, or another relevant area and at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with the same coursework focus and at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with SDWA and/or CWA regulatory programs.
• Experience inspecting water utilities.
• Certification as a water and/or wastewater operator is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing environments, and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to travel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Provide technical expertise in support of technical assistance to drinking water and wastewater utilities, regulatory program implementation oversight activities, and guidance development.
