The ideal candidate holds CA RN or LVN licensure with a nursing degree, and has experience mentoring students, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with CA licensure.
• Associates or BSN required per state regulations.
• 3 years of nursing experience with BSN or 6 years with ADN.

Responsibilities

• Improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative teaching methods.
• Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content.
• Review and revise syllabus for specific course within program guidelines.
• Submit required program reports to the Director in a timely manner.
• Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations.
• Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-offs.
• Assist with updating student files for clinical requirements and immunizations.
• Teach courses at varying times/locations to meet program needs.
• Teach lectures and clinical rotations (days, evenings, weekends).
• Participate in professional development and CE hours; stay current with college updates.
• Participate in committees as assigned when available.
