Job summary

Unitek College of Nursing is seeking a full-time nursing instructor for our LVN program in California. The role involves teaching both lecture content and clinical rotations, with days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Prior teaching experience is not required, and you will mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings. The position emphasizes updating curricula, maintaining student records, and staying current with licensure and CE requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current licensure in the state where you apply to teach.
• 3 years bedside experience with RN/BSN or 6 years bedside experience with LVN/Associates.
• Preferred: current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification or ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Improve instruction quality by reviewing and applying diverse teaching methods.
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course content and engagement.
• Review and revise syllabi for specific courses within the program.
• Submit program reports to the Director promptly.
• Stay current with new nursing technologies and safety regulations.
• Maintain student attendance, grades, and skills check-off records.
