Job summary

Unitek College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Vocational Nursing Instructor for our LVN program in California. You will teach both lecture and clinical rotations, mentor students, and help maintain course quality and compliance with regulatory standards.

You will review syllabi, update instructional materials, manage student records, participate in committees, and pursue ongoing professional development and CE hours to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• RN or LVN licensure in the state where teaching occurs.
• 3 years bedside experience with RN/BSN.
• 6 years bedside experience with LVN/Associates Degree.
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
• Stays current with nursing standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and clinical rotations (days, evenings, weekends).
• Review and revise syllabi and instructional content.
• Submit program reports to the Director on time.
• Maintain student records (attendance, grades, skill check-offs).
• Participate in professional development and CE hours to maintain licensure.
• Contribute to program committees as assigned.
