LensCrafters in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an EyeCare Advisor (Part-Time) to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will ensure high-quality optometric care delivery, coordinate with doctors and retail teams, and help meet store performance goals.

You will greet customers, explain services, assist with frame and lens selections, and handle patient records with HIPAA compliance. This role emphasizes strong customer service, product knowledge, and accurate POS transactions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Organization skills.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers without delay (within 30 seconds).
• Projects a friendly and courteous demeanor when answering the phone (3 rings).
• Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; consults with Optician/Doctor when needed.
• Maintains patient records per HIPAA guidelines.
• Operates POS system and processes payments securely.
• Assists in selecting frames and lenses suited to vision, lifestyle and budget.
• Provides pre-examination testing with accuracy and explains measurements to patients.
• Coaches patients on contact lens care and handling.
• Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory; supports the Optometrist as needed.
