Job summary

LensCrafters in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Part-Time EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience to every customer. You will greet clients, explain services, and help with frames, lenses, and contact lenses while ensuring HIPAA-compliant records and accurate documentation.

This role emphasizes strong customer service, fashion sense, and teamwork with opticians and store management to achieve store goals and provide a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Organization skills.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers quickly (within 30 seconds).
• Answer phone promptly (3 rings).
• Explain paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Review prescriptions and patient information for accuracy and consult with Optician/Management when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and patient files.
• Operate the POS system and handle payments securely.
• Assist customers in frame and lens selection and demonstrate product knowledge.
• Support pre-examination testing and guidance on contact lenses.
