Job summary

Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a passionate, skilled Line Cook to join our Culinary team for event-based, part-time work in Dallas. You’ll support VIP spaces and the Bunker kitchen, focusing on culinary excellence, consistency, food safety, and guest service during events.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a high-volume venue, strong knife and prep skills, and a commitment to sanitation and presentation. Evening/weekend hours and event schedules apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of culinary experience in a high-volume venue (stadium, arena, hotel, or entertainment venue).
• Experience in premium dining or upscale hospitality environments preferred.
• Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
• Understanding of HACCP principles, proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality items per standardized recipes, schedules, and presentation standards.
• Utilize grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, baking, and finishing methods.
• Ensure consistency, proper portions, and attractive presentation; maintain quality and flavor.
• Taste and evaluate food to ensure quality and seasoning before service.
• Prepare meals for service or delivery with proper temperatures; follow HACCP and safety rules.
• Keep workstation clean, organized, and sanitary; follow health regulations.
• Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment; report issues promptly.
• Assist with food prep, production planning, inventory, receiving deliveries, and stocking.
• Collaborate with chefs and team to ensure smooth operations and guest experiences.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
