Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training and approved agreement, working collaboratively with other providers at a franchised AFC location. Compensation ranges per franchise location and is noted as $65.00 - $80.00 per hour.

The APP will conduct comprehensive histories, develop medical assessments, order tests, and manage care from urgent to general medicine settings, with duties varying by franchise.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and families.
• At least 1 year of urgent care experience required.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Board certification by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA.
• Active Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in the state, plus DEA and state-controlled substance credentials as required.
• Able to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for the patient.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to facilities and resources.
• Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or stabilization in cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine status, management and treatment.
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
