Job summary

Vine Street Hospitality is seeking a Part-Time Server in Los Angeles, CA to deliver exceptional dining experiences with knowledge of the menu, wine, and beverages. The role emphasizes a warm, professional presence in a fast-paced setting.

You will greet guests, take accurate orders, collaborate with bartenders and hosts, and ensure accurate payments while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Previous serving experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, and cocktails.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
• Current Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications required (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Bring a warm, fun, and professional energy to every shift, creating a welcoming environment for our guests.
• Detail tables before service: ensure neat, organized place settings, polished glassware, and clean seats.
• Greet guests promptly, present menus, and make thoughtful recommendations on food, wine, and cocktails.
• Take accurate orders, enter them into the POS, and ensure any allergies or special requests are noted.
• Deliver food and drinks quickly and with proper presentation, checking back within 2 minutes to confirm guest satisfaction.
• Open and manage tabs correctly, process payments accurately, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
