Job summary

Eataly in Los Angeles is seeking team members to greet guests, present menus, and guide them through our diverse Italian offerings. You will respond to inquiries about food, beverages and allergies, relay orders to kitchen and bar staff, and assist with POS transactions.

You will coordinate with hosts and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service, pour wine and beer when appropriate, stock stations, and help with cleaning and resetting tables as needed. Flexible on-site schedule required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
• Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies.
• Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system.
• Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations.
• Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests.
• Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware.
• Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
