Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver) in Fairfax, VA to protect utilities facilities and support a welcoming, safe environment. You will drive on-site during weekend shifts, provide exceptional customer service, maintain access control, and document activities in line with site procedures.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law and policy.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility personnel while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of utilities facilities, buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter incidents.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials and documenting entries and exits.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, notify appropriate personnel, and complete reports.
• Maintain daily activity logs and report any security concerns.
