Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a Fairfax, VA location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and provide excellent customer service to site personnel and visitors.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, with duties including documenting activity and reporting per site procedures. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience working in a driving post is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials; document visitor and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following emergency protocols and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications.
