Job summary

Catapult Learning in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Part-Time Tutor to provide targeted instruction in reading, mathematics, and writing within school settings. You will deliver prescribed lessons using our proven curriculum and collaborate with school staff to support student progress.

We offer flexibility with year-round and/or summer opportunities, plus ongoing professional development and supportive resources to help you succeed in guiding students to excel.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: associate degree or at least 48 semester hours / 72 quarter hours.
• Licensed tutors: CT credentials recognized for teaching.
• Must pass FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Belief that all children can learn.
• Able to use online platforms for records and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and apply prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate student services.
• Communicate student progress to parents and conferences.
• Deliver instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training and use designated instructional models in reading, math, and writing.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Supervise students and escort them to and from sessions.
• Maintain student forms/files per Company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
