Job summary

Washtenaw Community College is seeking a Part Time Testing Center Proctor to administer examinations and support testing operations on campus. The role requires following instructor directions, maintaining security, and ensuring accuracy in test administration.

The position involves proctoring GED, TEAS, CLEP and other high-security tests, monitoring testing rooms, assisting with documentation, and collaborating with testing agencies.

Qualifications

• Reading and understanding policies and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows XP.
• Ability to organize workload and work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work Saturdays.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to learn and use AI-supported tools and assess AI content for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Proctor exams (computerized and paper-based) per instructor and center procedures.
• Administer GED, TEAS, CLEP and other high-security tests.
• Invigilate to prevent cheating and misconduct.
• Complete required certifications and update skills annually.
• Administer placement testing on campus and at off-campus locations as needed.
• Assist Manager with reports and documentation for agencies.
