Washtenaw Community College is seeking a Part‑Time Testing Center Supervisor to oversee evening and weekend operations, including exams, entry assessments, GED administration, and staff supervision. The role ensures a secure, professional testing environment while guiding staff and addressing concerns with instructors and students.

The position requires supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with AI-supported tools.

Qualifications

• Equivalent of three (3) years of successful work experience in an educational or business setting.
• Equivalent of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software; familiarity with learning new software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with students, faculty, and staff across all areas of the College.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team effort.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to use workplace technology and AI-enabled tools, with confidentiality and ethical use.

Responsibilities

• Supervise evening and weekend Testing Center operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing student flow, and payment verification for non-student clients.
• Act as second in command to the Testing Center Manager and provide support as needed.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and delegate work for staff and proctors.
• Intervene to resolve customer complaints and ensure a professional service environment.
• Maintain a secure, professional testing environment and promote integrity and student success.
• Assist with developing informational materials and communications about testing services.
• Administer and proctor exams (computerized and paper-based) per guidelines and external requirements.
• Gather data, prepare reports related to Testing Center operations and accreditation.
