Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) invites applications for an Education Support Specialist – Test Proctor. This part-time, non-benefitted role supports PVCC Testing Center and PTCC operations, maintaining confidentiality and security of materials while ensuring a welcoming environment for students and faculty.

Position requires availability to work two Saturdays per month, with flexible hours within 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Experience in customer-facing roles with a track record of resolving customer concerns effectively.
Ability to convey information clearly and professionally (verbal and written).
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Administer a variety of tests for PVCC and non-PVCC students, licensures, and certifications.
Send/receive confidential testing material to and from faculty at PVCC and other institutions.
Maintain integrity of testing information.
Manage day-to-day operations: answer calls, manage email, organize incoming material, calendar.
Observe students during testing via security cameras and computer monitoring program; troubleshoot as needed.
Assist students with special accommodations and technology; provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff and community.
