Job summary

VCU College of Health Professions, Nurse Anesthesia, is seeking an Academic Testing and Support Assistant to provide onsite classroom support and proctor exams at distance sites in Roanoke and Abingdon, VA.

The role requires proctoring and instructional support on weekday mornings, with a focus on creating a safe, respectful learning environment for diverse students and staff. This is a part-time, onsite opportunity with benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students.
• Experience maintaining a safe and supportive educational environment.
• Exposure to classroom management or prior classroom technician/assistant experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
• Fosters an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with diverse faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite classroom support to faculty, instructors, and students to ensure a successful learning experience for Nurse Anesthesia distance site learners.
• Proctor exams, tests, and other instructional activities.
• Serve as a liaison between distance site students and Department Chair, Program Director, and department faculty/staff.
• Keep Nurse Anesthesia leaders informed of student statuses and potential barriers to performance.
• Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and VCU policies and regulations.
