Job summary

CTIS, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Technical Writer to design, create, and maintain technical documentation, online help, and user guides for software applications developed in a CMMI Level 3 development environment.

You will research, write, edit, and proofread documents, collaborate with software engineers to gather information, and ensure clarity, accuracy, and quality while meeting established deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical communication or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing technical documentation.
• Experience with help authoring tools such as MadCap Flare and RoboHelp.
• Ability to present information clearly in written and oral form.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, edit, and proofread manuals and online help within established time frames.
• Uses source material and interviews with engineers to obtain needed information.
• Conducts tests and solicits inputs to ensure clarity, completeness, and technical accuracy of documents.
• Reviews documentation for editorial and technical quality.
