Job summary

Talentify seeks a detail-oriented Technical Writer to create and revise manuals, reports, proposals, and instructional guides for machinery and equipment. You will translate complex technical content into clear, audience-friendly material and work with senior writers to verify details.

The role involves researching catalogs, drawings, and blueprints, organizing material to standards, and producing I-Level/O-Level manuals, IPBs, and MRCs. US citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant experience in technical writing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience with DoD/Navy Manuals and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and update technical documentation including manuals, reports, proposals, and instructional materials.
• Develop content related to procedures for installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and senior writers to receive assignments and verify technical details.
• Observe production activities to gather operational details.
• Synthesize information from catalogs, drawings, blueprints, and product samples.
• Organize material to meet established standards for clarity and conciseness.
• Incorporate photographs, diagrams, and charts to illustrate materials.
• Write and revise I-Level and O-Level Maintenance Manuals, IPBs, and MRCs.
• Maintain organized records and assist with publications distribution.
