Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners seeks a Technical Writer Level 2 to support development, maintenance, and delivery of technical documentation for software and systems engineering programs. The role translates complex concepts into clear documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.

You will prepare installation guides, user manuals, and training materials, collaborating with engineers and subject matter experts to produce accurate, organized documentation and guidance for end users.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of experience as a Technical Writer for programs of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; four (4) additional years may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documentation for software engineering, systems operations, testing, and end-user activities.
• Develop installation guides, configuration procedures, implementation guides, user manuals, and how-to documentation for hardware and software systems.
• Create and maintain software code documentation, technical publications, data flow diagrams, field definitions, and system process documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, system administrators, and SMEs to gather information and translate it into clear, organized documentation.
• Support configuration management activities, process improvement, system documentation efforts, and knowledge management programs.
• Develop training materials, business process documentation, and technical training content to support operational and user communities.
