Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring a resourceful, customer-focused part-time Supervisor to support store operations in College Station. You will coach the sales floor, model exceptional service, and oversee daily activities in one or more departments.

You must be able to resolve customer issues, maintain floor merchandising, and assist with cash, credit, or financial aid transactions. Expect to work a flexible, year-round schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Outstanding customer service skills to match customers to products that meet their needs.
• Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of time on the sales floor coaching and modeling exceptional customer service.
• Train and oversee daily work activity of team members in one or more departments.
• Enforce loss prevention procedures and ensure area is properly merchandised and operational.
• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments as needed.
• Act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the manager or at satellite locations.
