Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC. is looking for a part-time retail associate to support daily store operations and assist guests with a friendly, solution-focused approach.

You will help stock and merchandise areas, assist with opening/closing duties, and follow corporate directives to ensure smooth store activity and safety. The role emphasizes high-energy teamwork, strong communication, and exceptional customer service while maintaining clean, organized floors and stockrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; able to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
