Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and participate in opening/closing procedures.

Additionally, you will follow corporate directives, maintain promotional fixtures, assist in ordering, payroll and scheduling tasks, and uphold loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling).
• Maintain clean and organized store areas and stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, including bathrooms and floors.
