Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and displayed effectively.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, following corporate directives, loss prevention, and staff development in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth and a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom; protect store assets.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; supervise and develop store associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
