Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring clean, well-stocked floors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise between delivery truck, stockroom, and sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and equipment.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed and coach store associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
