Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays meet company standards.

This role includes opening/closing procedures, payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, and coaching Store Associates. You will uphold safety policies and maintain a clean, welcoming environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store functions and activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and perform record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and store procedures by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
