Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in a part-time role. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise store associates while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness; bathrooms, floors, trash, neat areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
