Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Round Rock, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

You will support opening and closing procedures, assist in merchandising and inventory control, supervise associates, and ensure safety and policy compliance in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional displays and storefront fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
• Maintain tidy store areas and protect company assets
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and store procedures
• Support Store Manager in supervising and training Store Associates
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Other duties as assigned
