Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations in Richmond, Texas. This role focuses on customer service, team development, and daily store activities to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with merchandising, opening/closing, and following corporate directives while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned*
