Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in the United States seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise organization, and ensure store standards are met.

You will also help supervise Store Associates, maintain safety and company policies, and deliver a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This part-time role offers opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
