Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure seasonal areas stay well presented.

You will supervise and train store associates, participate in opening/closing procedures, manage inventories and records, and uphold safety and policy standards. This role rewards leadership in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
