Job summary

Dollar Tree in Amelia, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. The role includes supervising store associates, organizing merchandise, and helping manage day-to-day activities to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

You will support opening/closing procedures, assist with payroll and scheduling, and help maintain fixtures, displays, and store safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets including store cash and adhere to safety policies.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
