Job summary

Michigan City Area Schools is seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional for BSP at Michigan City High School in Indiana. The role involves assisting with IEP implementation, classroom support, and mobility/behavior assistance as part of a team.

Responsibilities include confidentiality, collaboration with teachers, and supporting students across various settings. Starting date is to be determined, with a 5.75-hour school day schedule and CPI training as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 college credit hours or passing Para Pro exam.
• Previous experience with students and educational settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain student and staff confidentiality.
• Comply with rules and procedures from the Building Principal.
• Support the teacher and related staff in service to students.
• Assist with development and maintenance of a positive work environment.
• Communicate concerns to the teacher promptly.
• Attend required in-services during school days.
• Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
