Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education II – Support for Summit Academy in Chandler, AZ. This part-time role supports certified teachers and SPED staff in implementing IEPs and assisting students with academics, daily living and health-related tasks.

The position requires working under direct supervision, delivering small group and 1:1 instruction, and maintaining data on student progress. Regular attendance and collaboration with the SPED team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with IEP goals.
• Ability to reinforce classroom objectives under supervision.
• Comfort handling data related to student progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work and reinforce objectives under teacher direction.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Monitor data related to academic and behavioral goals using district tools.
• Assist in modifying curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Support students with personal care needs and transition across campus.
