Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Social Worker to provide compassionate case management and emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis. You will interview clients, assess eligibility, develop service plans, and connect with community resources to meet needs.

You will lead pantry operations, conduct outreach, maintain confidential records, and collaborate with Pathway of Hope teams to ensure coordinated care. A driver’s license and relevant trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum one year in case management or social services; food pantry familiarity a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and completion of required trainings within set timelines.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to determine need and assess eligibility for services.
• Develop individualized client assistance plans and provide referrals.
• Lead and support the Corps Emergency Food Pantry and outreach programs.
• Maintain confidential client records and coordinate with Pathway of Hope staff.
• Collaborate with community agencies and document progress and outcomes.
