Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division in Gary, Indiana is seeking a part-time Social Worker to provide compassionate case management and emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Background checks required and results reviewed.
• Minimum of one year experience in case management or social services.
• Driver's license and Safe From Harm training within 90 days; Caseworker Certification within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Interview clients to determine need.
• Assess eligibility for emergency assistance and Pathway of Hope services.
• Develop individualized client assistance plans.
• Provide referrals to community resources and form community relationships.
• Maintain confidentiality of client records.
