City of Yuma is seeking a Senior Equipment Mechanic to join the Public Works team on a part-time basis. You will perform skilled maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks on a diverse fleet of light to heavy equipment, ensuring safe operation and compliance with standards.

The role requires independence, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to document service activity. A Class A Arizona CDL is required within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; four years' automotive/mechanical repair experience in fleet maintenance.
• Valid Class A Arizona CDL required within one year of hire.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoots and repairs a diverse fleet including heavy equipment and specialty vehicles.
• Performs preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and comply with safety standards.
• Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintains records of services, work orders and parts used.
• Operates diagnostic tools and references technical manuals.
