Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
• Minimum of 2 years of automotive technician experience.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License required upon hire.
• Must obtain ASE Certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance service on a variety of light-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, repair, rebuild brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems and components, computerized engine and transmission controls, drive trains, gas and diesel engines, cooling systems, air conditioning, suspension and steering components.
• Repair and replace tires for light and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Consult with supervisors on vehicle problems, diagnostic issues, and performance.
• Install accessories as required for each vehicle.
• Tests vehicles and equipment for proper operation by operating/driving and using test equipment.
• Maintain accurate daily work records on tasks completed, materials used, and time spent. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
