Job summary

The City of Chandler is seeking a Fleet Services Senior Technician - CDL to join our Fleet Department. The position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and supports maintenance of light to heavy equipment.

A strong customer service mindset and teamwork are essential as you work on vehicles and equipment critical to city operations. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, automotive/heavy equipment training, 3 years of mechanic experience, A/C refrigerant

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical auto/heavy equipment repair training.
• At least 3 years as a skilled automotive mechanic.
• A/C refrigerant recovery certification and ASE cert within 6 months.
• Must possess a complete set of hand tools and a valid driver's license.
• Class B CDL required within 6 months of hire/promotion.
• Equivalent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled preventative maintenance, repair, and installation on light, medium, and heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Support City of Chandler fleet operations and service delivery.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and timelines in a collaborative team environment.
