Job summary

City of East Providence is seeking a Part Time Member Services Representative for the East Providence Senior Center. The role is 12:00 pm–4:00 pm, three days a week, with duties at the front desk, memberships, reservations, and information services.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, strong communication and confidentiality skills, and experience with Microsoft Office. Bilingual ability (Portuguese or Spanish) is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Experience using office equipment and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual ability (Portuguese or Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and visitors to the Senior Center.
• Answer inbound calls and assist members with memberships and renewals.
• Direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff.
• Monitor the front desk and member sign-in; verify memberships.
• Process class and event sign-ups and collect fees.
• Take and manage transportation reservations.
• Maintain and update membership forms in the My Senior Center database.
