Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Guard in Norfolk, VA. You will provide excellent customer service, conduct routine patrols, and monitor access to protect people and property at a technology and business location.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents, reporting conditions, and maintaining a visible security presence. The role requires flexible weekend availability and a team-oriented approach to safety and service.

Qualifications

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Clearance/Background checks as required by law.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Employment subject to background investigation and drug screening.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while upholding site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions.
• Verify credentials, direct visitors, and document entry/exit activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with clear communications.
• Prepare accurate patrol and incident reports and coordinate with leadership and clients.
