Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Guard in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide customer service, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents.

Role offers a flexible schedule with evening shifts (Tue/Fri/Sat 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM) and opportunities for career growth within a leading security company. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal, state, and local laws; drug screen where permitted.
• Licensing requirements may apply; valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter to identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site protocols; verify credentials.
• Respond to incidents calmly and report via established procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports for Allied Universal leadership.
