Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed Patrol) in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

As a Part-Time role, shifts are scheduled with flexibility. CPR certification and Guard Card/License are preferred, and a background check will be conducted as required by law.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify identifications, maintain records, and report access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, clear communication.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications.
