Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Armed Security Officer at our Norfolk, VA site to provide a visible security presence, patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour with a flexible day schedule. Eligible applicants must hold an Armed Guard Card or License, be 21 or older, and pass background and drug-screening requirements.

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card or License required.
• 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per federal/state/local laws.
• Criminal history considered per laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training may be required.
• State/local licensing rules may apply.
• Valid driver's license for driving roles only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, report unusual activity.
• Carry authorized equipment in line with laws and site policies.
