Job summary

Allied Universal® in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible hours at a busy waterfront commercial site. This role offers fixed anchor shifts plus the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $20.40 per hour. The position requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to obtain necessary licenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout public areas, tenant spaces, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, following site procedures for visitor assistance, deliveries, and restricted-area access.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and maintenance concerns to supervision and site representatives.
