Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Open Availability - Union in Chicago, IL. This part-time enhanced role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to earn more.

Pay rate: $19.50 per hour. Schedule: DayTime Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM; Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Fixed-shift commitment of six months provides reliable base hours while allowing extra shifts across sites.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors per site procedures.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Inspect packages and report prohibited items.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of screening areas and perimeters.
