Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport students and volunteers safely to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith aligned with our beliefs, a clean driving record, and commitment to student safety while following all traffic laws.

The position supports bus upkeep, safety inspections, refueling, and potential classroom volunteering with the LifeWise Director.

Qualifications

• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with matching doctrine.
• Regular driver’s license; may be on file by LifeWise program.
• Age requirement: 21–80; special considerations for 75+.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws consistently.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students and assist with entering/exiting.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor toward students.
• Be aware of students needing help or showing misbehavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
