Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dependable vehicle driver to transport students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith, clean driving record, and a valid license with appropriate endorsements for larger vehicles.

Responsibilities include obeying traffic laws, maintaining bus safety, and supporting classroom activities as approved. Part-time, non-exempt position with an emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy faith statement.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license; license held continuously for the past three years.
• CDL with passenger endorsement required for 15+ seat vehicles; 15-passenger van requires no special license.
• Age between 21 and 80; drivers over 75 may need annual physician/cdl documentation.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in five years.
• Background check via LifeWise Academy and yearly physician statement for medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing pre-employment, annually, and after accidents.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for students; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students in entering/exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classrooms if approved by the Director.
