Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a Part-Time LifeWise vehicle driver to transport public school students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and a caring demeanor while adhering to LifeWise beliefs and local church participation requirements.

The position is non-exempt and hourly, with responsibilities including safe transport, student assistance, and occasional classroom volunteering as agreed with the Director.

Qualifications

• Religious alignment with LifeWise beliefs and values.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy statements.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CDL with passenger endorsement for large vehicles is required for 15+ seat vehicles.
• Age between 21 and 80; drivers over 75 require additional documentation.
• Background check and annual Physician's Statement for medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment and random).

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students with entering/exiting the vehicle and demonstrate calm, caring demeanor.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if agreed with Director.
